Medical assistant classes online or at the campus? I am just wondering how I would get the actual training part if it is online? Is there more hands on training available in the on campus classes? I am just worried that I will gain less experience with online classes, and that employers will be less likely to hire me if I have an online degree. What do you think?

Medical Assitant and Online Classes? Hello! I have a few questions about Medical Assisting and school programs. I am a 25 year old mother who works full time. I have a very hard time having any spare time to be able to go back to school. I have been wanting to go back for some time for a dental or medical assisting program. The only problem is that I work full time, and I have to work to support my family, and night classes are not offered in my area for these things. My sister brought up the option of taking online classes. While I feel I could manage that, I have heard that people don't take online degrees as seriously as if you were to attend an actual college. What do you think? If you were in my position, what would you do? Would you take the online classes and hope for the best? I feel like I am stuck in this dead end job and have no options because I didn't finish college. I also know that is nobody's fault but my own, but I don't want to be judged on what I didn't do, I want to be judged on what I am doing to fix it. Any suggestions? Online College Classes for Medical Billing and Coding? I've been looking into Medical Billing and Coding as a potential career,and I've also been looking into all the educational requirements that come with it.I know I need some college education before I can start working in this field,but I'm currently in a situation where I would only be able to take college classes online.I've found some colleges that offer the classes online,but I keep hearing that the degrees offered by colleges through online courses aren't always acceptable.I can afford to take the classes,but I can only afford them once,so I'm worried about earning a degree and then later finding out it's useless. So,here's my question:Does anybody know of a college that offers the classes required to become a Medical Coding and Billing Specialist online that's also properly accredited and generally accepted by employers in this field?

how do i become a medical transcriptionist? what online colleges provide the best "bang for your buck?" i've done some research and have come to the conclusion that i'll probably need to take some kind of test to become certified, and these certifications may vary based on which region i'm in. the online classes appear to just ready me for this certification test, meaning i won't really have much to show for completing them other than the knowledge i'll receive, right? and would i be better off just completing a course in "medical administration" or "medical office management" as opposed to just limiting my self to a "medical transcriptionist?"

What classes can i take at home online for a work at home career? ex. Medical Transc. Or Web Designer. :)? I am on disability because of my nerves. I am on meds and i am doing fairly well on them. I had a nervous breakdown in high school before graduation because of the stress i was under, but i need to do something with my life. I can't feel sorry for myself any longer. I would like to take a class online and make great money and hopefully get off disability all together (since i would get my check taken away by making too much money). I want to do web design, but i don't know how to get started and how successful the money making of working at home would be. I am no artist, but i would love to learn how to use the program used for web design. I am clueless about how it works and what you do to make a web page, which is why i would take classes. If that is not a good idea in your opinion, what would be? I want to make between 12-20$ an hour. Is this rare to do with an education in any field if i am working from home. I will do anything with a computer. I can type about 68 words a minute (thats why my friend suggested a medical transcriptionist job). I just hear that as a medical transcriptionist (working from home), it has cut back on jobs. Urggh.. I am frustrated and don't want to rely on my fiance to support me. I need to be independent and not rely on a monthly check 1 day of the month. I need a steady income so that i can help with bills and not feel useless. It would give me so much more confidence knowing that i can provide for myself and help my fiance when we struggle financially. Besides, i really need to get into something and find something to do so i don't drive myself crazy. I clean all the time and i get into crafts every now and then, but i want to learn something and make $$. I am pretty sure i can get financial aid because of me being disabled. What is a good online school to get certified for medical billing and coding? I would like to get certified for medical billing and coding, and was looking into Concorde Career College.... however right now due to money issues and child care restraints, it would be very difficult for me to be able to go to class. Does anyone have any ideas of an online school, that is accredited and honorable for me to be able to do this?
Medical Billing Specialist From Home? What Online School? I can't for the life of me come across anything that seems ligit to pay money out of my own pocket to take an online course. I do not have the time or the money to go to a regular college, since the closet one to me is 40 mintues away. I would like to do online classes..
