What are the top rated Medical Transcription schools in the US? I have made a recent decision to take Medical Transcription... although I hope that I will have job security... and was wanting to know of the best school in the us. I have looked at many... Would it be better to attend a local college for it? OR could I do any online college? does it matter? I believe it does matter and would like to know of someone who has done it, what the best schools are for that career in particular. Thanks for the help!!!
Which online medical transcription schools take less time to complete? I want to take online courses to become a medical transcriptionist. I have looked into Penn Foster and they look reasonably priced, but they say it takes about a year to complete. All the ones I find that say they can take as little as 3-4 months to complete, aren't accredited. Any suggestions?

Looking for a good Medical Transcription school online that accepts Pell Grants? I applied and was accepted to M-Tech only to find out that the top 3 MT schools online do not accept Pell Grants. I'm right now about half way done with the medical transcription program through Allied Schools and i am starting to question their learning techniques. I feel like the exercises they give you and the help they provide to learn what you need to know for this field is very bare and minimal. Medical Transcription training financial assistance? Are there any legit (as in, companies will actually HIRE grads) medical transcription schools that provide financial assistance? I qualify for the Pell grant at my college, but i also want to take MT on the side so that I can make money while I'm in school. But the problem is, MT training is expensive as hell!
