The company employees should have basic education to do the transcription with reasonable accuracy, additional, occupation-specific training in medical transcription and most importantly COST EFFECTIVE!

Does anyone know of any reputable home-based medical transcription companies? I currently work for Medquist Transcription company as a home-based medical transcriptionist for ten years. I have not gotten a raise in over 6 years and actually have gotten decreases in pay for the last three years so that the company could "keep up with the competition". I am looking for another medical transcription company to work for as I need an increase in income as well as the flexibility and the ability to work from home as I have a son who is disabled. Please let me know if anyone knows of any companies that aren't going to rip me off such as paying hundreds of dollars for start up programs, etc. Companies that provide equipment is a plus (Medquist provides me with a computer). I mean you have the degree and everything, but do all medical transcription companies require you have expierence working for a hospital for a few years before you can work from home?
