How can I become a certified medical assistant online?

I want to take online classes to become a medical assistant, and I don't want to get my AA degree, I'd like to just get a diploma, and be eligible to take the certification exam(s). Where is a place I can go for this that is affordable, legit, and accredited? I'm looking at Herzing, but I don't know how much they charge.

1. I don't know if anything like that will be legit. I am a RMA and I know for a fact you are going to have to learn venipunctures, bps, ekgs, ect. and do clinicals at a doctor's office or clinic and I have a diploma as well and it took about 9 months. What is wrong with a on site campus school? You still want to careful with that because if you would want to transfer those credits, it won't happen more than likely. I am in nursing school and I have to take all those classes over because those schools aren't accredited by the same organizations as most nursing schools are.

3. You can only get a certificate in medical assisting. No one ever offers a AS in assisting. You cant do any medical profession online. There has to be some hands on experience and learning. Dont believe anything that says you can do it online.
