Medical Billing Specialist From Home? What Online School?

I can't for the life of me come across anything that seems ligit to pay money out of my own pocket to take an online course. I do not have the time or the money to go to a regular college, since the closet one to me is 40 mintues away. I would like to do online classes.. ANyone know of A REALLY good online school that helps you get a job afterwards?

1. Look into a community college near you and their offerings. The community college in my area has continued ed credits and a brochure for all of the options of classes you can take. Online courses are included in there. They also have a career center to help you get a job after or while you obtain your certification. I would avoid freestanding "online schools" all-together.

3. Hey Cole, I have been in the medical billing, coding, transcription and medical consulting industry for years and I answer this question everyday. There are two schools that I professionally endorse to those that I mentor because I have either hired people that have taken these courses or I have associates that have taken these courses and gone on to do exceptionally well in their careers. The major difference between the two schools is that the first one I will mention is geared toward educating an individual to start their own medical billing business. The second school is more geared for those that want to get a job in the healthcare field but they also help you to get a job and give you a reference. Also, once you complete the course you can also speak with the past alumni which is great because they are the ones that will get you the inside scoop on available jobs where they are working and they’ll also refer you because you graduated from the same school (that’s how two of my employees got into my company).
