Does anyone have any idea how to get clients into our Medical Transcription Service?
I would like to know any marketing strategy aside from cold calling and post mailing... Could somebody point out some good marketing strategies so that we can get clients into our Medical Transcripton Service?

- Have you built a website? If yes, promote it. Build inbound links to it. Build your inbound links. Most of the directories online charge a one time fee to review your site and add it to their index. Here are three of my favorites: http://www.avivadirectory.com/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=kahmer http://www.kahmer.com http://www.joeant.com The more inbound links to your site, the better you will rank. If you don't have one yet, now is the time. They are cheap to setup and is a great way to advertise.
- You want to talk about a very effective and efficient way of creating new business for smaller to mid-size businesses with a limited budget....simple cold call them. Reason why so many like yourself avoid cold calling is simple because you don't do it correctly and if you are like most, myself included, you have contact reluctance. Dollar for dollar, the telephone is the way to go, but you have many different avenues open to you, including Internet, mail, media. What ever you choose, make sure you know who your customer is going to be first....otherwise you are destined to get stuck in the muck.
- Medical transcription schools are kind of a scam. It is hard to find just the right size practice. First identify your target person. Is it the office manager? The doctor? The nurse? Then build a mail list. If you can afford it, build a series of postcards or brochures that look similar and are teasers. Send out about 3 rounds; then start calling on the recipients just for an "informational interview." Deliver a fourth brochure. Also if there are any medical gatherings in your community see if you can set up an informational table or figure out a way to introduce yourself.
