I am looking for some medical terms that sound like dermatril, dermabond and monofil?

I am a medical transcriptinist, and this is concerning the excision of a pilonidal cyst. The sentence said: ". . . was closed with Dermathril, Monophyl and Dermabond. At least that's what it sounded like, but I can't find them anywhere. Can someone help? It's driving me crazy. I just want the proper spellings.

  1. Well, I know that dermabond is a "glue" that is used to close incisions. Don't know about the other 2, sorry. Okay, monofil is a high tensile polymer, manufactured in Germany, possibly used as a suture. Dermatril is a disposable glove that protects the doctor from infectious body fluids. And, yes, the spellin is correct. c-ya
  2. Monofil is a type of nonabsorbale suture, and dermafil is a tissue filler. http://www.dermafil.com/
  3. Yes, dermabond is the glue spelled correctly and the other i believe are sutures: monofilament I think is the one word (single stranded suture) or it could be monocryl which is an absorbable suture trade name (which ever sounds the closest to you) and the other word "dermathril" could it be a type of packing (dermafill?) since those wounds may be packed--.
