i need a ibs diet sheet printout of what not to eat?
i recently got out the hospital with a severe attack from ibs does anyone know where i can printout online a list of what foods i should not eat or what food i can eat .. i don't know where to turn anymore having bad bouts of vomiting, dehydration, diaharrea and now constipation i am so depressed help how am i suppose to learn to live with this and be able to eat real food also if you know of some alternative medicines things and exercises please let me know also

- I thought your doctor or ERD should have given you a list. Foods to avoid colas, caffeine, teas, spicy foods, greasy fatty foods, and things you know upset your stomach in general like acidic things like tomatoes. Call your advice nurse, go to the bookstore and look up for a healthy cookbook for IBS and they should have something there or try EBAY and type it in, and she what you can get. Also, keep a notebook of what you eat and drink every time. If something makes you sick, then check on it, and REFRAIn from eating or drinking it. You are your own doctor. Here is the list!****************************************** Keep a food and symptom diary to help keep track of the foods you eat. Read labels. Before anything goes into your body, read the label. This includes over the counter medicines. Avoid alcohol. It may not be easy to skip the drinks when everyone else is having a glass of wine with dinner, but you'll feel better if you do. Avoid artificial sweeteners such as sorbitol and artificial fat such as olestra. Sorbitol is found in a surprising number of foods and over the counter medications. Avoid coffee. I know—you can't live without your coffee, but I bet once the caffeine withdrawals are over, your IBS symptoms will improve. Avoid dairy if you're lactose intolerant (See my article on lactose intolerance below to determine if you're lactose intolerant). Avoid red meat. This is another tough one, but many people with IBS find their symptoms are triggered by red meat. Avoid fried foods. This one is almost a no-brainer. Anything deep fried is not going to be good for you or your guts. Avoid large meals. Eating smaller meals more frequently, or "grazing" throughout the day may help symptoms. Many people find that IBS symptoms are worse after a heavy meal. Eat low fat. This is good advice for anyone, and especially for IBS. - in addition to the diet try taking a digestive enzyme (available at GNC) and cleansing teas such as Kryo-CLeanz...both have helped me tremendously! Good Luck I know its awful

- Well all I can say is I had success with a vitamin supplement and a pro/pre biotic. So have quite a few people I have shown what I used.
