Online medical assistant courses?

I am considering becoming a Medical assistant. I see all these courses for online medical assistant certification. How could this be? There are so many clinical things that seem innapropriate for learning online. Has anyone had experience with these courses?

1. It's a scam!!! Go to a community college or trade school. Go to the American Association of Medical Assistants' webpage and see their recommendations.
2. Hi Alita, do not go for the online MA courses because they are lying about being accredited schools. They will take your money and then close up their website. You need to go to a community college or a private school where you can actually go and take the course. Once you finish, you take the state boards and become either certified thru AAMA or registered as a Medical Assistant thru AMT. Both are reputable agencies. *Wish you the best*
