Does any1 know of a legitimate online medical transcription course?

I am interested in doing an online medical transcription course, but not sure which ones are legitimate. Looking for any help someone can give. I need to find one that will allow me to get a job after, and that is affordable.

1. i was just sent some info from friend that just completed the training, Its called Career step. You can sign up online and they will send you a packet with all the info.

3. There is an online guide to choosing a medical transcription course of study on the website below. Learn the difference between getting a certificate and being "certified". Big difference. Not affiliated with any school, just good free info. PS have heard good things about Career Step too but don't have personal experience.
4. It is better to do networking through www.mtstars.com and www.indeed.com etc through forums and net, observe them for sometime. Then it will be easier for you to take decision, rather than listening to one person words. Everybody say their institute is good. It is better to go with them who provides training and job. It is tough to get job for new bee.
5. The major bulk of medical transcription work in the U.S. has been greatly curtailed by state privacy laws as it pertains to medical records and patient confidentiality. The vast majority of medical records are kept in recordkeeping departments within medical centers and any transcription work is done "in-house," not "outsourced." So, beware of any offers which promote online in home medical transcription work--there are scammers out there. Good luck!
