What good would a online medical billing course be?
My parent wants me to take a at home medical billing course- you can mail in or do online. Why would i do this? They do not give u a degree only a diploma or certificate or something after a year for like 800 dollars? Would any employer ever except this?

- Employers accept it if you can do the work. You should go to a school that specializes in Medical careers. I graduated from Meditec.com from their medical transcription and coding program. I am in their billing program right now. Working at home doing billing can happen BUT what other schools won't tell you is that you need really expensive ($1,000) software to do that. Starting out in a medical office, billers are paid $12 to $15 an hour. If you could eventually get accounts and work at home, then it can be quite lucrative as you are paid a % of what you bring in for the doctor.
