will i be able to do my online medical transcription course with a netbook?

I am taking a medical transcription course online and I am thinking of buying an acer netbook. Will it work well for this?

1. It depends. You will need a USB port for your foot pedal, and a port for your headset. You will need to be able to connect to the Internet, download files, and you should be able to print. I would recommend a fully loaded laptop. You will need a good system anyway in order to work as an MT.
2. It is better to use windows XP, vista will give some problems reg MT especially express scribe etc. Dell and Lenovo also good.
