How can one get on-job training, project help when company is not offering training because of budget?
Are there any inexpensive training companies who can offer professional level help or online courses in the field of Information Technology, Business and Management, Finance kind of professional fields? Free but live training is useful but I doubt if there is any charity going on?

- On the job training? - what are you working there for? Get another job in same industry, this time check to see if they have any extension courses to improve your value to the company.
- You probably won't find any free training, on site or otherwise, that is competent and any good, if at all. Prices may have come down some as a lot of companies have cut their training budgets so the competition for business has increased among the players. But if nothing is budgeted for training it isn't going to happen. If you can make a really good case for how the training will improve the company's bottom line, they might shuffle things in the budget to cover it. One thing I did to learn something new in IT was to go to meetup.com and find a local special interest group, went to their meetings, and picked up good information on things I did not know. They are generally willing to help a person like this, and are usually free. Some require to you know enough already to be able to contribute to the group discussions, though. They will let you know when you request membership in the group.
