Where can I get free training for Microsoft Office?

I see a lot of jobs asking for experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, etc...I don't have these programs installed on my computer, nor do I have them on disk. Can I get training for them online? And how will this boost my job search? (Why are these programs used, what are they used for?)

1. You could check out some local libraries and community centers and see if any of them offer these kind of classes. I know my community does. If you learn the programs that the jobs are asking for, you'll be more likely to get the jobs.
