Can someone help with my medical terms?

I am needing to make this sentence (My hands are touching my knees) into a sentence with medical terms. Would this be correct? My proximal metacarpals are in contact with my bilateral articulatio genera? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

  1. There r no proximal or distal metacarpals. Just 1 set of metacarpals, so cut the adjective 'proximal'. Also, metacarpals just mean the bones in the palm area. Is that what u wanted to say, not the whole hands?
  2. It depends on what part of the hand you want to talk about, and what part of the knee. for hands you could use: anterior surface of metacarpals (palms of hands) distal phalanges of hand (fingertips) There are no proximal metacarpals for the knee you could use: articulatio genu (latin) platellofemoral joint (kneecap and thigh bone joint) anterior surface of the patella (knee cap)
  3. First, metacarpals are bones of the hand. An entire hand includes 5 metacarpals, with each including proximal, middle, and distal portions. All long bones can be described in this way. The palm of the hand is called the palmar surface. Anterior surfaces of bones are not referenced to describe the body surface. Each hand also includes bones of the fingers, called phalanges (each is a phalanx, or phalange) Each of the 4 fingers includes proximal, middle, and distal phalanges, and the thumb has only a proximal and distal phalanx. Each of these is a separate bone. When referring to a whole finger, it is usually called a digit. Each knee is formed from the joint of the femur and tibia, and the associated patella and soft tissues. A whole hand is called a manus, or chirus.(manu/ or chir/o) a whole finger is a digit (digit/) A whole knee is called a genus. (genu/) Think of terms like manu/al meaning by hand, or pertaining to a hand Chiropractor....one who practices (using) the hands digital.....pertaining to a finger or fingers genuflexion......bending the knees genu valgum....knock knee deformity My manus is in contact with my genus is the singular. My manua are in contact with my bilateral genua would work for both hands and knees.
