What shows are similar to House MD?

I am in love with House (the show). My friend got me to watch the first episode and I was hooked. When I saw how many episodes there were, I thought I could never watch them all before Season 6 comes out on September 21st. How wrong I was. I actually kind of hate myself for not managing how many episodes I watched a day. I wish I had allowed myself 2 or 3 at most. Well, I finished them all, got caught up, and still have 3 months to wait. I don't think I can!!! I need some other show(s) to distract me through those 3 months of horrible waiting... So, any suggestions? I would prefer the shows to be medical (since I'm aspiring to be a doctor), but there isn't an unlimited amount of those. I can't find anywhere to watch the first few episodes of ER for free online, so any links would be great! I tried Scrubs -- so stupid! Are there any others? (Even not medical would work) I'm looking for a show with the amount of action as House. I want to be able to connect with the characters -- laugh when they laugh, cry when they cry. Also, go Huddy! 3. Royal pains is an ok show it's new though so there is less than 7 episodes Bones Love that show :) um thats all i can think up
4. Try Mental. I'm a huge House MD fan (its great cause i'm just LIKE house. except not as miserable. XD) and Mental is great. it comes on like right after House i think.
5. Nurse Jackie is like the female version of house. It's only a half hour long, and it's only a few episodes in, but it's pretty good.

7. Give Scrubs another chance, I had to watch it a couple times before I was hooked. They do have dramatic story lines on the show that make you cry. It's goofy, but it each episode does give a lesson on life. MASH is great too.
8. Bones-it has the exact same fan base as House(where as your Greys Anatomy fans prefer Scrubs). Lots of interesting information about bones, forms of death and deducting it from the bones themselves. Science...awesome sweet science. If you look at the description of House it says "Mystery,Crime..."-then later "Medical". Same as Bones. Both are very medically accurate. In fact, Bones is based off of a long on going award winning book series by Cathy Reichs who is a world famous anthropologist. I don't know who would win in a boxing match-her or Patricia Cornwell(also an awesome medical mystery writer, but she doesn't have a show out). The show is funny as heck too. It has your same genius who seems like the have asperbergers syndrome, the side kick always trying to lighten the mood because they see life in such a different way and a colorful cast. I highly recommend it, especially for someone interested in the medical field.
