does anyone know any medical transcription companies that hire new people?
I graduated back in November and I'm still looking for a job. I'm getting frustrated.

- You may need to work in a doctor's office, perhaps as a secretary, just to get the experience needed to work for one of the transcription companies. In addition, you might check with the course people to see if they can assist you in placement. That's one of the recommendations in the online guide to choosing amedical transcription course of study on the website below. You will find jobs there as well... once in a while you'll see one that does not require experience.
- It helps to network with other medical transcriptionists to find out if anyone knows who hires new graduates. If your local hospitals have inhouse transcriptionists, you may be able to get a foot in the door by taking another job in medical records and letting the director know you'd be interested in moving to the transcription department. Check with small local services to see if there's anyone willing to train you, as well.
