Online Medical Classes

College dilemma please help, especially if you are interested in medicine.?

this summer I took an online class, Precalulus I found it way too hard and withdrew from the class my teacher withdrew me from the second segment but not the first even though i was still in my grace period and this was because I completed more than 50% of the class so i could not withraw. My current grade is a C and I have until Sep.1st to finish it. but the thing is I barley obtained that C, and if i do somehow finish the course and get my final grade, I will have to take a live test, which I am pretty sure i will fail. Here are my options please help 1) Withdraw, get an F, retake the class the school year and get an A(tutoring) 2) Finish it, get an A probably not really learn, and fail that live test probably(I am a horrible test taker) The ting is , I don;t want an F on my transcript for college. But if I choose choice B, i still might fail, and I won't learn. What should I do. think about it....An F on a transcript(I want to do premed) i have an 3.5 gpa, taking sat this year, track and field runner, bio club member, interact member(going for a position this year) and 4 years of taekown do black belt, can all of this override my F? if i raise my gpa higher will colleges over look it, WHAT SHOULD I DO?!

  2. You're not going to make it to Medical School.
  3. The F is going to impact what undergraduate college you get into. However, with most colleges, the major that you choose depends on how well you do in college classes, not high school classes. As far as pursuing your major, you'll be fine. The only trick is getting into college. But, as long as you're not shooting for the moon, you'll get into college. One piece I am concerned about is the fact that you're a horrible test taker. Pre-Med has a lot of requirements, is extremely competitive, is inundated with tests and it only gets more difficult as you get into med school. Either now or later, it would be advisable to take time and figure out why you do perform poorly on tests. Is it anxiety? Is it because you're studying a different way than the teacher writes the tests? You need to fix it as soon as possible so that way, it does not hurt your chances of doing pre-med in college. There are a lot of resources to help with students who do perform poorly on tests. The college you choose will have a center and there are loads of online resources.
