i am considering doing an online medical assisting class with an accredited college, why are online classes on?
why are online classes only 8 weeks to complete as to going to the college that takes 10 months? Would I still be able to get a job with a certificate they promise after the online class???????????

- IMO you could not possibly learn what you need to online to begin with and you certainly could not in 8 weeks. A school being accredited really means very little. The credits are not transferable and basically all you get is a "certificate" Not worth the paper it is written on.
- With online courses, you often only get the theoretical knowledge. In any field within medical such as emergency medicine (paramedics, emts), nursing, firefighting, doctors, lab technologists or anything like that which is incredibly hands on, you wouldn't be able to possibly learn all of the required material in 8 weeks on a computer program. If you take it, there is no harm in taking it, as it will give you some basic background information for taking the course through an actual accredited campus where you can physically go. Also, employers usually won't hire someone who doesn't have the hands-on training if there is a pre-req for the job i.e. medical assisting certificate, MD and so on. I hope that this helps you.
- As I know, this site has top listing of such college courses online - edu.2kool4u.net
