Online Medical Classes

Is anyone here taking any online courses through Penn Foster College or Career School?

I'm taking the Medical Office Assistant through them. I'm also enrolled in the Health Information Technology Degree program. I Love it. My question is Has anyone else taken any courses through them and what was your experience?

1. I did take one class with them I personally dont like their format. The open book test are not good for the work field in my opinion. I am about to attend University of phoenix for healthcare management. I like it because you can still interact with others while you are doing your work. It does cost more but financial aid covers it because it is a regional accrediated school. I wish you kuck in your classes and just remember to do some work everyday. Participate in the activities that they have in the books you will learn more.

3. I'm taking their Medical Coding & Billing Diploma program. I'm about half way finished. So far I'm happy with my studies however I really wish there were interaction between students in the same program through a discussion board - espiecially once I get to the actual coding courses. It would be great to communicate back and forth with the instructor and other students to get some "real world" feedback. Books can only teach you so much.
