Is there any at-home medical transcription companies that will hire people without prior experience working?

for a hospital first. I mean you have the degree and everything, but do all medical transcription companies require you have expierence working for a hospital for a few years before you can work from home? Neither of you really answered my question, I asked if I can get hired from a company without having worked in a hospital first. And yes hospitals do hire people straight from school, how else would people get experience? You start in a hospital then usually go to at home if you can find a progrram, I just wondered if I could find an at home program first and just skip working for a hospital and just work for one of the companies.

1. Hospitals are VERY VERY picky and already have their own or contract a professional transcription business. They do not hire those without any experience.
2. There are hospitals that do not outsource their transcription to a service and have their own transcription department. If you went or plan to go to a good MT school, then it shouldn't be too difficult to get your foot in the door. You would be tested and if you pass, then you would probably land the job. Hospitals pay pretty well and the benefit packages they offer are SWEET : ) The trick is to go to a good school and get quality training. Good luck to you! Edited to add: YES, IF you get excellent training you can go to work for a national service directly from school. It is best to choose a school that has established relationships w/ MT employers.
