- Dear Friend, Medical Transcription is a IT enabled services industry and is very good and can get good training at Bangalore. You can specialise in Dental related fields. It is a good paying job. You can get training in any one of the training(choose only the best) centers and work for over a year and then switch to proof reading and editing. Which will pay you more than Rs30 to 50,000 a month, if you are extremely good and hard working. There is no easy money. If you are interested and work hard, you get handsome pay. There are many centers which give you training. Do not sign and get into any kind of agreements with any of these companies. Just pay for the training and kick them out. Withing24 months, you will be earning around Rs6/- lakhs per annum. Best of Luck.
- A Medical Transcriptionist is a clerical job in which a person transcribes dictation, but specialized for the medical field. A Medical Transcriptionist may work for a doctor's office, hospital, clinical laboratory, etc. They transcribe dictation of pathologists' reports, clinical lab reports, radiologists' reports, patient medical records, etc. You need a good program where you learn Dictaphone transcription, and medical terminology. You need excellent keyboarding, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation and other grammatical skills, knowledge of MS Word and/or other word processing software, etc. You ought to be able to complete such a course within a year. Pay is at the upper end of clerical work payscales, but less than Office Manager, Executive Secretary, senior Administrative Assistants. Comparable to or a bit less than Legal Secretaries, less than Legal Administrative Assistants. Any hospital is a good place to start applying for jobs after you complete your training program.
- As you are a doctor, within 6 months, you will reach 20,000 to 30,000 rupees per month by becoming editor whereas BA, BCOM people will take 2 to 3 years time. Medical transcription is one of the fastest-growing professions in the country today, notifies the U.S. Department of Labor. It is ranked #14 in the top 25 professions and is ranked as a #1 home based career. The continuous growing demand for medical transcriptionists is attributed to a growing and aging population. You can check www.andhrascribe.com or www.askribe.com for details. If you have computer at home, you can learn and work from home.
