How can I get free training or scholarship on medical transcription in Georgia?

- I don't know of such an option for a free education unless a person has some sort of disability and also qualifies for training through the county vocational rehabilitation center. I would look into the lesser expensive programs such as thru the local county vo-tech school(s) or community college (perhaps non-credit course) as opposed to those private schools that are ridiculously pricey. And please steer clear of those 'online schools' as most employers don't find them to be reputable. For US colleges including community colleges: www.utexas.edu/world/univ
- You may want to check with your local community college in your area and ask to speak with a Program Coordinator regarding medical transcription. I was about to do the same things as you a few months ago and I learned that Medical Transcription will be obsolete in three to five years. Hospitals are going to paperless medical records, they are charting medical records by computer.
- Just try GRANT.com. I am sure you shall find some scholarships, grants that match your purpose.
- Find a distance learning school that accepts finanacial aid and submit your FAFSA application. Check the AHDI site under approved schools.
