Emergency: Need someone who speaks fluent German and English to translate medical news to family?

TRIED using an "Online Translator" but the family said "The translated version made no sense". So, I need a real, LIVE, human being who speaks fluent English and German and can help with English - to German medical information to translate the following news: "The Thyroid surgery was only supposed to take 1 hour - but it took 4 and 1/2 hours because when the Doctor opened me up - he found that the cancer had spread to my windpipe and trachea. They had to scape as much cancer off the trachea and windpipe as the could - but there are microscopic cancer cells that no one can see - so, I will have to go for a P.E.T. Scan to find where else in my body the cancer has spread to so my doctor can come up with a Radiation and Chemotherapy strategy." Thank you in advance for your help. I have a German to English dictionary - but mine does not include the medical terms needed and it's also quite old. Thank you again!

I am not a medical person, but from what I could find out, windpipe and trachea are the same thing!? I like to use this online dictionary: http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/ It also has some medical terms, so it might help in the future.
