I need to get CPR certified for the healthcare professional-?
is this the same as the BLS Healthcare Provider Course? I'm not sure which class I need to take.

- Yes...
- call your local hospital...ours does courses there and they would be able to tell you.
- It depends what state you reside in. Try American Heart. They offer CPR for professionals.
- CPR is lower than BLS. BLS stands For basic life support, They will go into more detail on what you learn in the CPR course
- Try the American Red Cross, the give CPR training off and on all year, plus offer renewal courses.
- Yes the BLS should be for all forms of cpr(adult, child, infant etc)
- Go to NREMT.org and click on "state offices". Once you click on a state, this will bring you to a list of all of the local agencies who provide EMT Certification. I know you're just looking for the CPR class so stay with me... Some of these places offer just the class itself. This would be the best way to find a local class. Hope I helped! Jeremy
- yes. when u get BLS it goes along with the CPR too.
- go the the american heart association's web page and look for local BLS classes. Most hospitals/doctors offices, etc. require BLS to work/volunteer in and the certification is good for 2 years before you have to renew. The american red cross has their version called CPR for professional rescuers, and if you become a lifeguard (which is also taught by the red cross) and that certification is good for only one year. if you have to choose, I'd say the american heart association version (BLS) is more widely recognized and accepted. Hope this helps!!
